Miguel Ruiz and Linkin Park

For this blog post, I want you to consider the main texts (Miguel Ruiz) we have studied the last few days. Think of the songs we listened to in class (Numb and Somewhere I Belong) and the implications of their messages. How are these texts talking back to one another? What conversation are they entering? What seems to be the central argument for each? For this post, I want you to pull a quote from each text and compose a paragraph (minimum) response that connects the big ideas to the two texts.

Welcome!

Hello everyone:

We will use this space to discuss, question, and critique the different issues and texts from class. The goal with using this blog site will be to extend our classroom discussions and allow everyone a chance to say exactly what they want to say. Do check in from time to time (unless I tell you directly to post) and see what other's are saying. You will be expected to post your own thoughts as well as commenting and responding to what everyone else posts.

Do be advised that the same policies that govern LHS still apply to this blog site. Any issues of online bullying, derogatory writing, etc...will be dealt with the same way it would were it to happen in school. I expect you to be critical, thoughtful, and respectful.

In addition, you are also expected to use conventional, standard English. I do not want to see AIM or text slang.
